About the Trainer
Among the 6 dogs she has shown, she has been awarded well over 100 first places and has over 60 HIT.  She has gotten 7 Dog World awards and multiple Delaney System and First and Foremost system National rankings.  In 1999 Mazzi was ranked #1 Toy in the Delaney system.
Along with multiple 199 and above scores, Jeannine and her dog Gidget have earned two 200 scores!. Jeannine and Jeffrey also have two perfect 200 scores. Mazzi, Gidget, Stiener Jeffrey and Nicholas have all placed in tournaments.

The methods she uses range from food based to  gentle compulsion. She teaches skills throughout all three levels in Obedience right from the beginning.  Her dogs enjoy treats and play throughout the training session.  She uses mental imagery and sports psychology to improve confidence and displace nerves.  Jeannine is a gentle and patient teacher who uses humor to relax and motivate her students.

Jeannine Rash lives in Red Lion, PA.  She has been training for competition since 1986.  She has trained 6 dogs to Obedience titles.  Her first dog, a Toy Manchester named Scamper, obtained a U.D.  Her second dog, a Papillon named Mazzi, earned an OTCH, UDX, TD, and Canadian CDX.  Gidget, also a papillon is an OTCH and UDX2 and has a Canadian CD and is the #4 OTCH pointed Toy Dog ever.   She  put a CDX on her mother's Pap Stiener and two legs toward his UD - then Keith decided he would like to show Steiner and finished his UD.  In Novice he earned 5 first places including a 199 over more than 40 dogs and in Open he even earned a 1st place out of Open B for a leg.  Jeannine also has  owner handled Stiener and Jeffrey to AKC Championships and is now working on finishing Nicholas. Nicholas has a CD RN and has 5 HIT.

Jeannine has experience training other dogs whom for various reasons could not show.  Read more about "Eggroll" the pug and "Trevor" the Papillon linked to this page.  Jeannine's first Obedience  experiences were with "Misty" a mixed breed weighing about 35 lbs.  She was very sweet, but independent.  "Timothy" a terrier weighing about 12 pounds, was very eager to please but was afraid of people   All the dogs that Jeannine has trained were different and added something to her "bag of tricks".  They gave her a deeper understanding of different personality traits and how to work most effectively with them to get the most out of each dog.  And isn't that every trainers goal, to get the most out of each particular dog?
Jeannine has been influenced by many great trainers over the years;  such as Dee Dee Rose, Terri Arnold,  Betsy Scapicchio,  Judy Howard,  Sylvia Bishop, and Janice Demello to name a few.  She believes that to continue growing as an Obedience compeditor and instructor one must listen to many points of view and be open to new ideas.  She has taken private lessons from several different instructors including Martha McCluskey, Dee Dee Rose, Tina Moran , Terri Arnold and Betsy Scappicchio.  She believes to be your very best you must get private help from a knowledgable "coach."  Nothing takes the place of a keen pair of eyes and experience. Everyone needs help to train a great dog. This is something Jeannine feels you can not do alone.  This is the most important reason for the camp--Jeannine feels she should share the knowledge she has gained over the years to help others achieve their dream.
Jeannine is originally from New Castle, Delaware.  She attended East Carolina University and University of Delaware as an art major.  She worked for 10 years as a commercial artist then a dog artist painting dog portraits and offering many types of paintings and drawings of dogs.  She and her husband Keith have been married for 24 years.
