Jeannine was planning on waiting to get a puppy until the spring, but when she saw Trevor in September she had to have him. While all the other puppies (2 littlers) played and romped Trevor spent his time looking deep into the eyes of the people. He was very playful and active and did like the other dogs, but just strongly related to humans. Once at home Jeannine began doing little things to help Trevor to mold into a great Obedience dog. She made him tiny ramps with cardboard and foam and taught him to negotiate them.. She taught him to tug and fetch and to sit, down, stand and walk with his head up. He learned quickly but she didn't rush him. They spent a lot of time just being together. She socialized him extensively with all sizes of dogs and took him everywhere she could. He was a very confident little dog who loved to train.
Little Trevor Baby barely weighed 4 pounds when he died unexpectedly at 10 months. He broke Jeannine's heart, but the time they spent together was the best time of her life. The bond they shared was as strong as it gets. It is one she will never forget.
